Current Foundation Board Members:
Our Foundation was created in November 1991. At that time the Kappa Sigma Chapter House at the University of Kansas was in need of a major renovation. To that end we began our first fund raising campaign to provide funds for the educational space in a newly renovated Chapter House. Over the next 10 years, the Foundation, in support of Campaign Gamma-O raised nearly $1.6 million from over 400 alumni, friends and family. To-date the Foundation has raised nearly $2 million in support of our mission. This has resulted in Educational Grants to the Kappa Sigma Chapter House at the University of Kansas for educational facilities of nearly $1.5 million.
Our mission is not over, but continues on. We strive to continue our efforts to support educational opportunities at the University of Kansas for generations to come. Educational facilities will continue to require updating and modernization, and the students at the University will continue to need support and motivation to further their scholastic and leadership skills. To that end we strive to build a lasting endowment to develop a culture of expecting excellence within the Kappa Sigma Chapter by recognizing achievements and rewarding them financially.
