The Gamma-Omicron chapter of Kappa Sigma has been at the University of Kansas for 95 years, and the current members plan on keeping it that way. We strive to be the best, whether it is in regards to rushing the best men, striving to have the best grades, or having the best time.

Formal/Informal Recruitment:
--- Of course, any potential member that will be attending the University of Kansas next semester is free to informally rush at any time. If you are interested in our chapter and would like to see a house tour or would like more information, please contact Tyler Setter (913-226-9459), Kyle Jesse (913-634-4847).
--- Formal rush will occur over the summer in June. We often get many new members from Formal Recruitment, and are always looking for quality men during that time. To register, please go to kugreek.org.

Scholarship:
--- Our chapter’s Study Hours are the same as all other Greek organizations at KU: 15 hours a week. Last semester, we earned the Most Improved Scholarship Award from the University of Kansas’ InterFraternity Council.

Leadership:
--- The Kappa Sigma chapter at the University of Kansas has many leadership opportunities for the ambitious student. We have plenty of positions of varying responsibility, and more than a third of the positions are offered for incoming freshman.

Social:
--- The Kappa Sigma’s generally have several socials, date dashes, and fraternity/sorority bashes during the school year. Some of these include:
- Yell-In, a weekend-long lakeside formal at Lake of the Ozarks.
- Ski Lodge, a fraternity/sorority event
- Red Dog, a traditional Kappa Sigma party since 1931, Dinner Exchanges with sororities and various other activities.
